Clarington Council is excited to host the Mayor & Council End of Summer BBQ—a lively, family-friendly afternoon at Orono Park! To make this community celebration shine, we’re looking for energetic and friendly volunteers to help make it all happen.

- Event Time: noon to 3:00 p.m.
- Volunteer Shift Time: 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Location: Orono Park, 61 Princess Street, Orono
(Pool, Playground/Splashpad, Gazebo, Baseball Diamond, Parking Lot)
Parking available at Orono Fair Grounds; Accessible Parking & Kiss n’ Ride only at Orono Park
???? What’s Happening:
- FREE BBQ hosted by Mayor Adrian Foster, Council, and Newcastle Lions Club
- FREE ice cream cone or slushie
- FREE swimming at Orono Park Pool
- Inflatables, games, scavenger hunt, and community booths
- No registration required—just come and enjoy!
???? Volunteer Roles Needed:
- Event setup and cleanup
- Welcome team and information booth helpers
- Activity and game station assistants
- BBQ and food support (non-cooking roles)
- Pool area monitors (non-lifeguard supervision)
- Parking and Kiss n' Ride Monitors
