Under the direction of the Manager, Community Impact & Insights (or designate), volunteers will participate in the Bowmanville Santa Claus Parade.
Duties:
- Walk alongside CLMA staff along the parade route, engaging with crow and spreading the festive spirit!
- Help carry the library banner, push book carts
- Assist library staff with cleaning up materials at the end of parade route
Requirements:
- Open to high school students (Grades 9-12)
- Ability to arrive on time for setup and stay through the end of the route
- Ability to walk comfortable outdoor distances in winter weather conditions
- Dress in warm, weather-appropriate clothing
- Festive wear is strongly encouraged!
- Positive attitude, comfortable interacting with community members and children
Additional Details:
· Eligible for high school volunteer hours (includes pre-parade briefing, parade walk, and clean up).
· We will meet at the designated pre-parade area (details sent via email upon sign up)
