Purpose: To keep Bethesda House, Outreach Centre and Second Chance Store properties clean and tidy.
Responsibilities:
- cutting grass in spring, summer and fall, as required
- trimming shrubbery
- clearing debris from the grounds
- notify supervisor regarding any repair or maintenance issues when identified
- removing snow from sidewalks, driveways and parking areas during winter, as required
- spreading down de-icing salt during winter, as required
- other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Knowledge of safe work practices, appropriate use of equipment, pleasant manner, ability to understand directions in English, willingness to learn and accept supervision, problem-solving ability, dependable, willingness to accept and work with people of diverse backgrounds.
Dress Code: Casual and comfortable, appropriate for work to be done, close toed shoes.
*Position not ideal for student unless can confidently prove knowledge as above and commit to being able to remove snow mornings before school commences.
